Long-standing, family-run cycle shop selling bikes most famously run by ex Racing Rider Roy, who took over from his father Ted. Now run by Paul Swinnerton today - the shop had a reputation for offering quality and being run by cyclists and racing cyclists, they products they put out were always of the highest quality.
This stunning Swinnerton Clubman built by Swinnerton Cycles of Stoke on Trent. - The current set up of close ratio rear block and 27" Sprint Tubs suggest a racing bike but here are the words of Swinnerton Cycles:-  
"The frame is a Swinnerton Clubman, built with mudguard clearance, these were built to be close enough to a race bike to give good feedback and performance (winter training / clubruns), built with Reynolds 531 butted frame tube set and forks.
The full wrap on the seat stays indicate it was built for a strong rider although at the moment I cannot find the build sheet but the number looks to be one built by Keith in the mid 80’s.
If it’s the one I am thinking of it will have 531 super tourist chainstays to go with the full wrap over seat stays for power delivery and stability."

Bike has been recabled with new outers added. The original bar ribbon replaced like for like with new.
