About this Bike:

A Desirable & Collectable item becoming increasingly harder to find

Frame no 215

Hand built by the former racing cyclist Lucien in Villeubane, France

Cycles Lucien Michard Made in Lyon, France , Frame Number 2015 - Lucien

Lucien Michard was a French racing cyclist and Olympic track champion. He won four successive world championships and lost a fifth even though he crossed the line first. He won a gold medal in the sprint at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Frame was possibly made by Jaques Busset an artisan frame builder, renowned for his experimental modification of frames in ways that main stream manufacturers were not quite ready for - ports for bottle cages, internal cabling and the aero dynamics of a lugless steel frame. These things were not standard at the time this bike frame was crafted.
